Windows versions system requirements
If you want to run any Windows version on your PC, here's what it takes:
Windows 7 system requirements
- Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64)
- RAM: 1 GB (for 32-bit) or 2 GB (for 64-bit)
- Hard disk space: 16 GB available (for 32-bit) or 20 GB (for 64-bit)
- Graphics card: DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
Windows 8.1 system requirements
- Processor: 1 GHz or faster
- RAM: 1 GB (for 32-bit) or 2 GB (for 64-bit)
- Hard disk space: 16 GB available (for 32-bit) or 20 GB (for 64-bit)
- Graphics card: DirectX 9 Graphics Device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
Windows 10 system requirements
- Processor: 1 GHz or faster or SoC
- RAM: 1 GB (for 32-bit) or 2 GB (for 64-bit)
- Hard disk space: 16 GB available (for 32-bit) or 20 GB (for 64-bit)
- Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
- Display: 800 x 600
Windows 11 system requirements
- Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with two or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or system on a chip (SoC).
- RAM: 4 gigabytes (GB) or greater.
- Storage: 64 GB or greater available storage is required to install Windows 11.
- Graphics card: Compatible with DirectX 12 or later, with a WDDM 2.0 driver.
- Display: High definition (720p) display, 9" or greater monitor, 8 bits per color channel.
How to download a windows
Method 1
After opening the Microsoft download center, choose your windows version.
In the edition label select Windows (multi-edition IOS) and click download.
Note: support for Windows 7 has ended, here is a reliable alternative method to download Windows 7 disk image (IOS file) safely.

To download Windows 10 enterprise ltsc, open the download page choose your language and select the Enterprise ltsc version then choose the 64-bit edition.
Method 2
Download Rufus application that can be used to format and create bootable USB flash drives or Live USBs and to download all the windows versions.
After downloading open Rufus.
Click the Settings button (third button from the left) at the bottom of the page.
In the Settings section, use the Check for updates drop-down menu and select the Daily option then click the Close button.
Now close the program and open it again.
Click the down-arrow button (on the right side) and select the Download option and click the Download button.
Select the Windows version you want to download (Windows 7/8.1/10/11) then click continue.
Select the Release date, Edition, Language, Architecture you want to download, after each selection, press continue, then click download.
Select the location to save the Windows ISO file and click save.
Finally, Now waits for the download to finish.
